Kobe Bryant to Release Movie During All Star Weekend

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant is the leading vote getter for next month’s NBA All Star game in Los Angeles. But the basketball festivities aren’t the only thing Kobe has going that weekend. As I learned from Los That Sports Blog, Kobe will be releasing a short movie during the break as well.

Essentially, the ‘movie’ equates to a long commercial for Nike’s Zoom Kobe VI and Bryant’s “True Colors” line of apparel. But Bryant teamed up with acclaimed director Robert Rodriguez to produce a film that Nike hopes will go viral. If nothing else, the combination should provide a different type of ad than we’ve seen before.
