As I found out from Larry Brown Sports, and originally noted by The Basketball Jones, the NBA’s most loyal superfan, Clipper Darrell, is now on strike. Clipper Darrell posted on his blog that he is going on strike because of a lack of passion and effort from the team.
All I want to see is love & passion 4 the game …CLIPPER DARRELL IS NOW ON STRIKE!!!! I’m hanging the suit up in the closet
Despite higher than usual expectations and solid play from rookie Blake Griffin, the Clippers were 0-4 entering Wednesday night’s game. Head Coach Vinny Del Negro has repeatedly criticized point guard Baron Davis for being out of shape, Chris Kaman’s production is down significantly, and the Clippers seem to be without an identity. In short, they’re still the Clippers.
Clipper Darrell has attended 386 consecutive home games according to his blog, and has endured many a losing season. So for him to jump ship now, you know he must be fed up! For the time being, don’t expect to see the bright blue and red suit, and don’t expect to hear his patented “let’s go Clippers, let’s go” chants, because Clipper Darrell is on strike!

The strike only lasted a half of basketball. He changed back into the suit at halftime
